A simple, easy cure for hiccups...
Alright, so you've hiccups. You can't stop. While hiccups generally stop without intervention, we've got a fail-safe cure for you.
Hiccups are involuntary spasms of the diaphragm; typically hiccups repeat several times a minute. The sudden rush of air into the lungs causes the glottis to close, creating the "hic" noise.
Step 1: Inhale through your mouth until your lungs are full. Resist every urge to hiccup and inhale as quickly as possible. Do not exhale.
Step 2: Swallow. If your diaphragm spasms, try swallowinging again. Do not exhale.
Step 4: Swallow again.
Step 5: Repeat steps three and four until you can no longer swallow. Once you're sure you can no longer swallow, force it one more time. Fight it! Do not exhale.
Step 6: Exhale.
